Hi, thanks for visiting! Before continuing, let me tell you a little about myself. (Or just scroll all the way down and hit the button of your country 😊.)
I'm Adriana Cantisani, the creator of the English is Fun! (EIF) method, Italy's leading method for teaching English as a foreign language to children. I've been teaching English since the late 1980’s. I’ve worked with children and adults in special needs classrooms, schoolrooms, and private settings.
From 2005 to 2011, I was the linguistic consultant for Chicco on their line of speaking bilingual toys, making English is Fun! the first – and, I believe, the only – brand to have their logo alongside Chicco’s right on the toys’ packaging!
In 2008 I was already well known in Italy when it came to kids and teaching and was thus contacted by a television program called S.O.S. Tata (the Italian format of the American Nanny 911.) I soon became a household name: “Tata Adriana” (Nanny Adriana) and was on the show for the remaining 5 of the 8 seasons it aired. I met and helped lots of families and the experience was AMAZING!
(Yes, I'm a fake blonde, menopausal, middle-aged woman dealing with grey hair. I think I'll get there eventually, but for the moment I'm giving blond a go 😊.)
I never thought I would enjoy doing tv and certainly never thought it would become part of my career but it did and a year later I did a tv series inspired by EIF called English for Me!
It was produced by Chicco and DeAgostini Jr. and soon led to other DeA Junior tv programs: a Sesame Street type of program called Adriana, Tino e Me (where my co-star was a REAL muppet named Tino, specially created by the Jim Henson Company) and Adri e Lalla.
I had so much fun with Tino, as you can clearly see! (You can practice your Italian with this one.)
I’ve also authored two books: Tata, Help! (a manual that relates the beginnings of English is Fun! and offers tips on teaching or raising bilingual children) and Se mi vuoi aiutare, lasciami fare (a light and easy read on children’s motor development). Both books have only been published in Italian.
I love all of my jobs but still consider teaching, and specifically adding to and improving upon English is Fun!, my main job. I’ve personally trained nearly 1,000 teachers over the years and still create the curricula for hundreds of Italian children who use the EIF method every month. I love it, the kids love it, their parents love it, the schools love it, EIF teachers love it.
And it is now available to anyone living outside Italy!

P.S.
I've recently started a YouTube channel where I share my knowledge of how to teach children a second language and how children learn in general. My aim is to help EFL teachers everywhere and parents raising bilingual children. Check it out:
